Frequently asked questions
Weighted average = Ξ£(grade Γ weight) / Ξ£(weights). For example, if you have 5 with weight 2 and 4 with weight 1: (5Γ2 + 4Γ1) / (2+1) = 14/3 β 4.67.
In most Polish schools, the Honours Stripe is awarded for a grade average of at least 4.75, combined with exemplary or very good conduct.
The Librus calculator supports grades with + and - modifiers (e.g. 4+ = 4.5, 4- = 3.75) and weighted grades. Enter grades exactly as they appear in Librus.
The arithmetic mean is the sum of all grades divided by the number of grades. For example: (4 + 5 + 3 + 6) / 4 = 4.5.
Attendance = (classes attended / total classes) Γ 100%. For example 120 out of 160 classes = 75%.
Exam results can give a maximum of 100 recruitment points. Polish and mathematics account for 35% each, and a foreign language for 30%.
