Matura Exam Calculator β€” Calculate Your University Admission Points

The matura exam calculator is a free tool that lets you compute university recruitment points based on your matura exam results. It converts your basic and extended level scores using the universal W formula applied by most Polish public universities. The conversion process can seem complex β€” different multipliers for different levels and subjects β€” but this calculator handles all the math for you.

The recruitment calculator is useful for matura students planning university applications as well as younger students wondering what scores they need to achieve. Enter your results and see how many recruitment points you can earn.

How to Calculate University Admission Points Step by Step

Recruitment points are calculated based on matura exam results. Each exam level (basic and extended) has an assigned multiplier. The percentage result for each subject is multiplied by the corresponding multiplier, then all results are summed. Below is the formula breakdown.

Polish: basic x 0.40 + extended x 0.60 = max 100 pts
Mathematics: basic x 0.40 + extended x 0.60 = max 100 pts
Foreign language: basic x 0.20 + extended x 0.32 = max 52 pts
Additional subjects: result x 1.00 = max 100 pts each
TOTAL: max 452 recruitment points

Example: a student scores 75% in Polish (basic), 60% in Polish (extended), 80% in Math (basic), 55% in Math (extended), and 85% in Biology (extended). Calculator: (75 x 0.40) + (60 x 0.60) + (80 x 0.40) + (55 x 0.60) + (85 x 1.00) = 30 + 36 + 32 + 33 + 85 = 216 points.

What Is the W Formula and How Does the Recruitment Calculator Work?

The W formula is a universal recruitment formula used by most Polish public universities. It defines how to convert matura exam scores into recruitment points. Some faculties (e.g., technical, medical) may modify the multipliers β€” for example, polytechnic universities may give more weight to extended mathematics. This calculator provides a reliable estimate, but verify exact multipliers on the website of your target university.

If you're still in middle school and need to calculate points for secondary school admission (from the 8th-grade exam), use our 8th-grade exam points calculator.
